Morphious C2S™  – High throughput purity scanner

Polluting contaminants in polymer compositions used for production are quite serious problems for manufacturers. Therefore, any major manufacturer uses certain technical solutions that allow the detection of contamination and foreign inclusions in a granular material with a high probability.
Such a solution was developed by MicrOptik. Combining the advantages of both X-ray and optical measuring systems.

The Morphious C2S™ platform is designed for the purification of pellets or powders in plastic production and conversion industries. The unique features of this system allow a convenient way to integrate into all sorts of sections in a production line.

Capacities of the C2S vary from 100 till 600 kg/ hr.

Morphious C2XS™ 600 is capable of detecting contaminants in the compounds with high accuracy.
The device allows to determine impurities up to 50 micrometers, both inside the granule and on the surface.
Morphious C2XS™ 600 combines not only innovative X-ray technology, but also a specially developed optical system, which by its characteristics exceeds all similar solutions. Morphious C2XS™ 600 is capable of providing 100% control of the purity of the compound and, as a consequence, is capable of ensuring that the material used for production will be free of defects.

Optical

For the transparent, translucent and colored raw materials, we use machine vision module which allow to identified all faults by using cameras.

X-Ray

The X-ray module allow to detect of metallic and other impurities inside the pellet as well as on its surface. This allows for the inspection of not transparent granules, and most importantly, black ones.

*Only for system which use just optical control. Systems that combine X-ray technologies with optical ones provide a throughput of up to 600 kg/h per device.

Depending on the characteristics of the material being inspected (dimensions, specific gravity, etc.), there are throughputs may differ from that specified in the technical specification. In this case, the increase in throughputs occurs due to the combination of additional devices.
