Gel-Analyzer: 1) Cast film die; 2) Air knife; 3) Chill roll A; 4) Chill roll B.
Principles of measuring real time gel analysis:
Cast film extruder and die
In order to measure gels, first a film must be produced. This is done by a cast- or blown film extruder. Producing a film by a cast film extruder is more convenient. The Mini extruder consists of a powerful Motor drive with speed control. Dedicated electronics with Digital PID Temperature control. Dimension (L*W*H): 400*200*300mm , screw diameter 15mm, Die 8cm. Power 1000W
Chill rolls and air knife
After producing a film through a cast film line, the film has to be annealed through a pair of chill rolls. The temperature of the chill rolls are important in obtaining certain features of the film. A so-called air knife is used to help in the annealing process of the film.
